Many people know how long I spent working on “No Enemy Within”. The motivation behind the album was - yes to explore and document the handpan, the songs, the inspiration - but deep down I wanted to record music that could offer relief, contemplation and healing to others, and a sound that offers an escape from all the busyness.
A colleague of mine shared with me his experience:
“Thank you for your music because whilst I was stationed in Malaysia for work, I listened to “Wander” to fall asleep many nights and it peacefully blocked out the usual noise and bustle of Malaysian neighborhoods.”
I’d love for more people to sit down and take these sounds in. To turn off the TV, the news, the mass media hype and fear, and take time to reconnect with themselves - if only for a few minutes. We need to unwind and find strength and assurance within ourselves again; fear and panic is not a state we can live in.
